Meet the Shopkeepers at Antique Square

Piddler's Perch
Shopkeeper: Rowan Attis

Piddler's Perch has no defined motif or genre of furnishings and knick knacks.. Inside the walls one might find rustic, shabby chic, modern, antique / vintage even the plain and simple home comforts.  Outside in the yard the style is much the same, however, recycling common outdoor items to be garden worthy is one favorite creative outlet.

At any given moment one can wander around the grid to view some of the most spectacular creations man or woman never knew til then.  An icy underground, a dragon ride through space, a fantasy land where fairies do exist and vampires gather in dimly lit rooms where the furnishings are trimmed in gold .... inspiration abounds.

My upbringing is only one source of inspiration.  It assists with the visual of the creation. Faith and encouragement from a loving source nudges and quietly whispers "you can do it". Still the greatest inspiration are those around me in second life, whether known personally or not.  Every design found in Piddler's Perch truly isn't mine alone.  It took a village to bring it to life.

{NS} Nadeau Shoppe
Shopkeeper: Thaddeus Nadeau

I strive to build quality antique furnishings using all of the available tools SL has to offer.  I started building with the focus on high quality and low prim; which I continue to work toward in my builds today.  I am an avid reader of literature, viewer of classic films, and listener of old time radio programs; therefore, my builds often take inspiration from these personal interests and their respective eras..

My goal is to build furnishings that I would proudly use in my own home.  In fact, I only build what I would use in my own home as I view building as a hobby and creative outlet.  At Nadeau Shoppe, you will walk away having found a quality classic item that will fit in with almost any home.

Weekend Salvage
Shopkeeper: Raeyn Sirnah

My biggest philosophy in building is if it isn't fun, don't build it. Outside of that, I come from a family of salvagers and crafters and amateur carpenters, where no piece of furniture that could be repaired or reupholstered was ever thrown out. My father was a flea market hunter from way back, and my mother taught herself to refinish furniture, braid rugs, and turn scraps of fabric into things of beautiful functionality. Ours was an eclectic household with a mixture of fine antiques and roadside reclaimings.

Weekend Salvage tries to go for that  pragmatic ideal as well. Single pieces, whole rooms, the knick-knacks and simple things that round out a room or a home, all of them are available. Some are low prim, and some designs are extravagant in their use of prims, sculpts, and textures. All of them are reasonably priced and most can be customized. Much of my inspiration comes from the US south, where I grew up, and where frequently the old can become new again. In garden gear, I'm all about the trees and flowers, plants and landscaping I grew up with.  Every now and then I take a sharp left turn into pure whimsy -- because again, if it's fun, I want to try and build it.

At Spargel & Shine Homes you'll find a variety of homes and furnishings that will suit any decor from modern to antique, and often a unique blending of styles. Now my antique pieces have a new home at the Antique Square @ Hidden Hollow, where you'll find treasures made by a number of talented builders and designers!

I believe in quality affordable furnishings for all in Second Life, and in great customer service. I am passionate about building and look forward to expanding my offerings.

Most of my creations are built in-world using sculpts, textures and scripts created by many talented artists here in Second Life. I generally don't use prefabs and kits as they are, but combine elements and pieces to create one-of-a-kind designs.

I hope you enjoy shopping (and purchasing!) from my store and I welcome your comments & ideas...to keep you coming back for more.

Store Name: Sweet Sorrows
Shopkeeper: Colette Charleville

 Antique furniture by passion.
Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Victorian ... inspired by antique RL furniture,  paintings, theatre, opera and cinema.

**Sweet Sorrows** furniture is maybe influenced by a fading, melancholic opulence (I love the movies of Fellini).
But in fact I don't follow a certain style. I see something and I want to build it. Or I have a texture and that texture shouts for a piece of furniture ... or a friend is asking me for a little breakfast table and the result is a grand dinner table which includes a lil breakfast  setup ... lol ... ( ... of course my friend got her little breakfast table too).
And I count prims right and left, while walking through RL ... but shhhh ... don't tell it to my psychiatrist.

Creativity, art and music can rescue somebody at a certain moment.
There are so many creative and talented people in SL.
They all open a window to a poetic and magical world, tell stories about desire and dreams, about live, its beauty as well as its pains.

Building to me is meditation and delight.
It is an honour and a joy to me, if people choose one of my items to put it out at their place.
I want to offer high quality for a reasonable price ... and I want, that people are happy with what they buy.
